Applecheek Farm is a sustainable organic
grass based family farm, located in Hyde Park, Vermont. We sell
a variety of organic pasture-raised products: heritage breed turkeys,
chickens, eggs, stewing hens and veal.
The heritage breed turkeys are raised on fresh
pasture. Currently we are raising White Holland turkeys, a breed
that originated from Mexico and was introduced to Europe in the
1500’s and in the USA in the 1800’s. This breed of turkey
is very rare. Turkeys are butchered on the farm for Thanksgiving.
Very limited supply.
Pasture raised organic chickens includes broilers
and stewing hens. They are available retail at the farm in limited
supply, best purchased during summer and fall. We also custom raise
chickens for our customers, call us for details.
Organic pasture-raised eggs are available year
around. During the grazing season our laying hens are moved daily
following the cows with a chicken tractor. During the late fall
and winter they are fed an organic diet rich in omega 3 and beta-carotene.
Our organic grass and milk fed veal is sold
on limited supply in the fall. These calves are raised seasonally
on fresh lush grass and fed nutrient rich spring and summer milk.
We strive to live a simple life close to the
land, producing healthy foods and services for the community while
maintaining a sustainable farm for future generations. We invite
you to come and visit our farm and see first hand our way of farming,
which is good for the land, good for the animals and good for the
people.

At Dayspring Farm we raise purebred Dexter
and Lowline Angus cattle because these old fashion cattle breeds
have retained the ability to efficiently produce top quality beef
from grass and stored grass feeds. Our cattle are raised naturally
on pasture grasses, legumes and forbs grown on the hills of our
farm in Southeastern Vermont.
Water is provided from a dedicated underground
spring or from our driven well which is the same water source we
use at our home for drinking. Both of these water sources are rich
in minerals from deep in the earth. The grass we grow is from re-mineralized
soils which we see as the source of health for our stock, plants,
and ultimately for ourselves and others who enjoy our special meats.
In addition we supplement our stock with organic kelp meal (seaweed)
which is a complete source of trace minerals as well as with mineral
salt.
Our cows are provided with a healthy and peaceful
environment with plenty of fresh air, sunshine and exercise. We
take pride in how we husband our stock and endeavor to be good stewards
of the land and animals, treating both with respect and care.
Breeding stock is sold when available and meat
regularly by appointment at the farm. We also sell our product at
the Bellows Falls Farmers Market and ship frozen meat
to customers in New England and eastern New York. Orders can be
placed on our online store by visiting our web site.

Green Mountain Grown specializes in
Gourmet Pasture Raised Meats. All
our meats come from animals that are humanely pasture raised.
Our
beef and veal comes from black angus beef cattle.
Our veal calves are pasture raised along side their mothers—no
confinement in crates, no milk replacer. They nurse freely
at will and nibble lush grasses. Our
lamb and pork is also pasture raised and comes from
mainly heritage breeds.
At Green Mountain Grown, we believe in sustainable
agriculture. We believe
in raising animals in a manner that is harmonious with the environment
and suitable for the species. We strive to produce wholesome meats
with exemplary flavor while respecting the land and animals.

The Hill Farm of Vermont
specializes in organically certified, pasture-raised beef.
(To qualify for organic certification, animals must get 100% organically
grown feed and cannot be treated with drugs, hormones, or wormers.)
Beef is sold by the whole, half, and quarter,
based on its hanging weight. Halves range from 160 to 220 pounds
and take up about 4 cubic feet of freezer space. Hamburger and stew
meat from older animals is available at a lower cost. Large quantities
of beef are available in October at the farm or direct from the

Howmars Farm is a
certified organic dairy farm located in northwest Vermont close
to the Canadian border. Certified organic beef from Angus-Cross
and Jerseys is sold year-round by whole, halves, quarters, or individual
cuts. Supply varies. Pasture-raised turkeys are processed
mid to late October and are available throughout the year.
The farm, operated by three generations of
family members, produces nearly a million pounds annually of certified
organic, Jersey milk. Over 200 gallons of maple syrup
are produced in the spring, and we cut and sell 60–70 Christmas
trees in early December.
We are dedicated to farming using approved
organic practices because we feel it is best for the land, our animals,
our families, and the survival of our family farm. Intensive pasture
management provides our cows, beef animals, and turkeys with lush,
nutrient-laden grass from late April to mid-October. This is the
key to providing nutritious, and delicious milk, beef, and turkey
to our buyers.

Jericho Settlers' Farm is a small
family farm in Vermont. We raise a diversity of livestock and
poultry on pasture. All of our animals are drug free: no chemical
wormers, no antibiotics or hormones are given to the animals or
put in their feed.
Our lamb and beef are 100%
grassfed and rotationally grazed. The laying hens and roasting
chickens are raised on pasture
following our livestock. Our heritage breed of Tamworth and Berkshire
pigs are bred and raised outdoors year round. The beef is a Devon-Angus
cross with genetics well suited to finishing on grass. We sell whole chickens, eggs and lamb,
beef and pork by the half or whole.
All of our products are available at our farmstand,
and our farmers markets. We also offer a Summer and Winter CSA,
sheepskins, 100% lard from our pasture-raised pigs, and fine handcrafted
Windsor chairs and Shaker inspired furniture.
We grow and raise
food because we believe a thriving local food system is essential
to a sustainable community—both our human-community and the other
animals, plants, and the land that share this space with us. We
strive for real work in which we find joy, wonder and accomplishment
each day, as well as the continuous opportunity to learn and meet
challenges. Our aim is to provide real nourishment for you and

Lathe Farm sells 100% grass-fed raw
milk, certified
organic by
VOF.
We have 23 acres of pasture and hay land,
so our herd is small--fewer than ten cows--and we are seasonal
(milking May through December). During the grazing season
we provide fresh paddocks every day and we feed our own dry
hay in the winter with free choice kelp, salt and minerals available
all year.
Calves
are born on pasture in the spring and early summer when the grass
is lush, and they are raised by cows, not by bottles! For
at least a month, they enjoy unlimited nursing, grooming and play.
At weaning, they are only separated by one strand of wire, which
reduces stress. The herd is mostly Milking Shorthorn, with
some Dutch Belted and Jersey crosses.
Customers must call ahead and
arrange a time to pick up milk at the farm and provide their
own containers (usually half-gallon mason jars). On occasion
we also have family cows, steers, pastured poultry, eggs,
grass-fed beef, and Shetland fleeces for sale.

Clover Market, Essex; Shelburne Supermarket, and the
Boardman Hill Farm Store in West Rutland. We will ship our meat

here on the farm and then dry aged 20 to 30 days for exceptional
flavor and tenderness. We offer halves or split sides cut to your
needs.
Price is $2.30 hanging weight and includes all

order. Both are available by the cut or by the side or whole.
All our animals are humanely raised, in a very
stress-free environment. Beef is 100% grass fed and hormone- and
antibiotic-free. Pigs are raised on certified organic grain in large
pens and outside when possible.

Shuttleworth Farm, LLC is located in
the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Our critters are raised on the
lush pastures in the shadow of Jay Peak. We raise Devon and Angus
cattle, along with Horned Dorset and Il d' France sheep—breeds
chosen for their heartiness and ability to perform well on a pure
grass diet. We believe very strongly that healthy animals provide
us with healthy food, and healthy animals are raised on grass alone,
the way nature intended.
Though our beef and lamb are not
currently certified organic, they graze only certified organic pastures
and we do not use any antibiotics or added hormones. We sell beef
and lamb by the whole, half, quarter and a limited selection of
special cuts. Please contact us for more information, or to arrange
a farm visit!

Sweet Tree Farm is a 350 acre farm located
in the Connecticut River valley of southeastern Vermont. We raise
Hereford/Angus cross (Baldies) cattle.
During the spring and summer months, they graze
on our chemical-free pastures bordered by woods that provide natural
protection from the elements. Two guard donkeys protect our young
calves from predators. In the winter, our cattle enjoy the outdoors
during the day and are brought into our large, clean, well ventilated
barn at night where they are fed freshly chopped haylage from our
chemical free fields. Our cattle are supplemented with trace mineral
blocks and have access to spring/well water at all times.
We sell retail cuts of beef year-round
at our farm sugar house. Our beef comes from cattle born and raised
at Sweet Tree Farm. This allows us to assure our customers that
our beef is 100% free of hormones and antibiotics. While we have
not yet begun the process of organic certification, we adhere to
NOFA guidelines.
Our beef is also served at the Front Porch Café, Putney,
Vermont and The Putney Inn, Putney, Vermont.

Vermont Natural Beef operates
on 300 acres of rolling pastures and meadows in the lower Champlain
Valley of Vermont. Starting in late April our yearling beef feeders begin
a 6-month long managed pasture rotation culminating in a well finished,
naturally raised beef by October or November. These animals are
never confined and are systematically rotated through lush regrowth
pastures of clover, alfalfa and grass. They live and grow the way
Mother Nature intended for large ruminants to live.
In the fall we market our beef primarily as
whole beef or sides (1/2 beef) for freezer stock directly to our
customers in New York and New England. By filling out a cut sheet
the customer is able to dictate every detail in the cut and packaging
process that takes place at a local family owned USDA-inspected
butcher shop.
From the field to the vacuum-packed cuts delivered
to your freezer, when you deal with Vermont Natural Beef you deal
with the owner and his family because no one else works there!
When you finally meet your meat we will make sure the pleasure
is all yours! Visit our website or give us a call.

Westhaven Farm raises
Beefalo Beef, a cross between American bison and domestic
beef cattle. The animals are naturally raised and finished on grass,
naturally mined minerals, and kelp meal. They are given no synthetic
hormones, growth implants, animal by-products, or antibiotics or
other drugs except where the health of an individual animal is
threatened. In winter, they maintain their health and vigor well
on hay alone. Beefalo is nutritious and delicious, naturally low
in fat and cholesterol, while being comparatively high in some
essential nutrients and protein, facts which led the USDA to give
Beefalo its own designation, "Beefalo
Beef." Being naturally low in fat does not diminish its palatability.
We sell Beefalo by the quarter (approximately
90 pounds) or half for the freezer, as well as retail cuts to individuals,
stores, and restaurants. We now ship by FedEx within the continental
United States, using insulated containers and frozen gel packs to
alleviate the Federal restrictions on the use of dry ice.
Westhaven is a small farm, producing a quality
product with care, and not all cuts are available at all times.
We hope you will try and enjoy Beefalo Beef, and we greatly appreciate
your support.
