The Bradburn
Farm is
owned by Connie and Anthony Bradburn and has been in Connie’s
family since the late 1800’s. The
family received this farm through a land grant. We
are located in Lawrence county and about 70 miles of south of Nashville.
We have a limited number of grass
finished beeves available each year. Customers may buy the beef in
quarters, halves or whole, and then choose how they would like
to have it cut and packaged. Delivery to the processor is included
in the price.
Our beef is raised
pasture to plate on grasses and clovers and are never supplemented
with grain. Rotational grazing is utilized to grow and finish
our beef and provides fresh pasture with every move. Free
choice minerals are provided for the animals. No antibiotics or
hormones are used on our animals.

Grandview Farm is dedicated to preserving
the natural balance of the land. We know exactly where our cattle
originate, raising each on the same land where we live, work, and
play. Our small-scale farm-raised beef is free of artificial
impurities such as hormones, pesticides, and medications. The rotational
grazing method practiced at Grandview Farm provides excellent forage
for our cattle and the abundant wildlife such as coveys of quail,
wild turkey, deer, and coyotes. A fresh water spring provides clean
drinking water year-round.
Our cows are raised in a bucolic setting located
in rolling hills of Wartrace, TN, home to world renowned Gallagher
Gibson Guitars. Neighboring Bell Buckle is home of the annual Moon
Pie Festival and The Webb School Craft Fair. The fertile soils of
Middle Tennessee produce high quality forage which helps produce
totally grass fed beef that is lower in fat and calories but richer
in good fats such as Omega 3 fatty acids and the cancer fighting
fat, CLA.
Grandview Farm beef is dry aged for a minimum
of three full weeks for delectable taste when served at family mealtime.
All cuts are available and daily delivery is available in the Middle
Tennessee area.

clean well water available in every pasture. Water supply is

Rolling Hills Farm is dedicated to make
sure our processes are natural and sustainable. We do not feed
our animals antibiotics or use any growth hormones. Our animals
enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, they have
fresh natural spring water to drink and fresh pastures to roam.
We currently offer beef by the side,
split side, or sampler package. The beef is vacuum-sealed and frozen
at our local USDA inspected processor. Your meat can be picked
up at the farm or we can ship up to a 150
mile radius. We also have eggs available for farm pick up
only.
Just
like our grandparents, we raise our animals in a humane method
that allows them to enjoy being exactly
what they are. If God put them on the earth to graze in tall fresh
grass, they will graze in tall fresh grass. If
they were meant to dig up roots and tubers and enjoy acorns and
chestnuts, that is the environment we try
to provide. They may enjoy dust baths, eating bugs and fresh shoots
of grass. You will be confident of the
wisdom of this approach once you try our fresh pastured eggs or beef.

The Sanders Farm is located in the mountains
of upper East Tennessee. For thirty years we have tended a small
beef cow/calf herd on 65 acres of herbicide and pesticide-free
land without the use of antibiotics or growth hormones. We do not
routinely treat them with any pesticides; adults are treated for
lice once in mid-winter. Flies are controlled by use of a walk
through flytrap. They are a closed herd so we know the lineage
of every animal for several generations as they were all born on
our farm. We use artificial insemination to introduce new blood
lines.
We are selling whole calves, usually in the
fall. They are grass and milk-finished with a live weight between
400 and 600 pounds, and hanging weight approximately 200 to 360
pounds. The live calf is delivered to your choice of processors
within a 50-mile radius of the farm and you pick up your frozen
meat from them. Our price is $2.50 per pound of hanging weight.
You also pay the butcher's bill, which is around $40 plus $.40
per pound of hanging weight.
We would rather sell our calves to anyone wanting
untainted meat than sell them into the beef industry's feedlots
where they live a little longer but in an unnatural and highly
stressful way.

Shady Grove Farm is located in rural
east TN at the edge of the Cumberland Plateau west of Knoxville. We
are a small family farm with 80 acres of pasture and
woods. We
also manage two adjacent parcels for grazing. We
offer grass-fed beef, grass-fed lamb, pastured poultry, and free-range
eggs.
We began farming with the intent
to raise our own foods products to know first hand the origin and
health of our meats. We enjoyed the food and farming so much that
we began offering our meats to family and then friends. Since
then our customer base has continued to grow by word of mouth until
this year when we expanded through advertising. We only sell what
we ourselves would eat.
Our animals are moved twice daily
to new pasture using management intensive grazing techniques. These techniques allow
more evenly distributed fertilization, long
rest times before re-grazing, and help
in the healing of the land. Healthy land produces healthy
food which in turns produces healthy people.
Feeds for our animals consist
of grasses, hay, and minerals for the cattle and sheep. The poultry receive only
natural grain based feeds along with what nature provides in the
way of grasses/greens, seeds, and bugs.
"Local" is the key to knowing where your food comes from and how
it is raised. The majority of our customers are within a 200 mile radius
ranging from Knoxville to Cookville and as far south as Chattanooga.
We welcome visitors to our farm to observe first hand how a healthy
farm is managed. Come for a visit.

The
Top of the World Farm is the Sanders Family. Our parents
had seven children and six of us are still here, directly involved
on the farm everyday. There are now more than eight of us, and most
of the time we number around fifteen farmers from ages 50+ down
to 2 months old.
We raise Scotch Highland cattle, Khatadin sheep,
and Tamworth cross pigs, which we offer for sale in quarters
(for beef only), halves, and wholes.
We feed our cattle and sheep nothing but the
fresh grass and hay that our 65 acres offer. Some of our pigs share
a grass diet with the cows and sheep, but most spend their time
in the woods rooting for nuts. We feed these latter pigs locally
grown corn every day.
We give our animals no hormones, steroids, antibiotics,
or anything else unnatural. We would only give antibiotics in an
acute situation where antibiotics were necessary to save an animal's
life. While we have encountered this before, we have never sold
the meat from those animals to the public and don't intend to. We
supplement our animals' diets with salt, kelp, and food grade diatomaceous
earth.
