Cimarron Angus direct markets
grass-fat lamb. The lambs are sold right off the ewes and
weigh 115–125 pounds. They are sold live or processed from
July though September. We use no creep feed or grain for either
the ewes or lambs.
Our farm is located in northeastern New Mexico,
very close to Interstate 25. The lambs are a new enterprise for
Cimarron Angus. For the past several years, our main focus has been
direct marketing their open replacement Angus heifers.

JX RANCH is a family owned and
operated cattle ranch located in Eastern New Mexico, along the
Caprock, a steep escarpment that traverses the ranch. Here
our cattle graze on native pastures year-round, under Holistic
Range Management, with minimal human involvement. Our
cattle are never given any growth-hormones, animal by-products
or antibiotics of any kind and remain on the range from birth
to processing. We still use horses to gather
and move the cattle in our rotational grazing program, in a no-stress
manner.
Our Longhorn cows are hardy, thrifty,
resourceful, and through natural selection over the centuries,
are naturally adapted to the arid lands of New Mexico. They
are efficient converters of available forage to energy producing
lean muscle, with little waste in fat and high in healthy Omega-3
fatty acids. We
breed these Longhorn cows to Charolais bulls, and the end result
is a lean yet very tender beef for your freezer.
You can purchase JX Ranch Natural Beef as ¼, ½ or
whole beef, and in order to keep it simple for our customers,
we offer a “JX Ranch Package” where cuts are
pre-selected as per our own choice of cuts, and an “Order
Form” where you choose your cuts yourself. In
addition, we take care of the transportation to the processor
(Fort Sumner Processing), where you can either pick up the dry-aged,
packaged-to-your-specifications and frozen meat yourself, or we
arrange for shipment to you via FedEx nationwide.
Feel free
to contact us with any questions you may have, or stop by to
meet us and see the ranch.

At Moonbeam Ranch our Grass-fed beef
is pasture raised using no growth hormones, steroids, or antibiotics.
We have a small family ranch and only raise as many head as we can
without stressing our pastures, the environment or our animals.
We have worked since 1996 to improve our pastures
and water sources through the use of rotational grazing and other
practices to improve the natural grasses. We believe it is unnecessary,
and potentially harmful to give drugs to healthy animals simply
for the sake of accelerated production.
We sell our beef each year in October through
January. Supplies are limited. We take orders for ¼, ½
or a whole beef. We deliver them to the butcher with instructions
that meet the customer’s specifications.
We are located about 40 miles east of Albuquerque,
NM. For more information on our ranch, visit our website or send
us an e-mail.

Ranney Ranch is a family-owned Angus
beef cattle ranch in the high mesa country of central New
Mexico in operation since 1968. This is our third year direct-marketing
Grass-fed/Grass-finished beef both locally and nationwide.
Our cattle graze year-round on native grasses
on our open range pastures. We believe in sustainable grassland
management and use rotational grazing practices. We gather our calves
on horseback in the fall and are committed to the preservation of
the Western ranching tradition. Our calves get no grain, hormones
or antibiotics; they are never confined to a feedlot. They are humanely
handled at the Ranch and by Fort Sumner Processing, a family-owned,
fully certified processor.
Our customers are pleased by the taste and tenderness
of our beef. It is low in fat and cholesterol, high in the vitamins,
CLA's and omega fatty acids found in fully grass-fed/grass-finished
beef.
We offer half and full beeves for sale on our
website or by directly contacting Nancy Ranney via e-mail. Our beef
is dry-aged and packaged to customer specifications. We ship FedEx
nationwide. A half beef yields approximately 100 lbs. and fits in
a large cooler.

lives.

RidgeRun Enterprises, LLC offers LeanAndTender™
grass-fed Longhorn beef to customers throughout the U.S.,
including Steaks, Roasts, Jerky, Brats, Sausage, Gift Packs and
more through our website.
Our naturally raised grass-fed beef products
are prepared from Longhorn cattle specially raised by our family
owned and operated RidgeRun Ranch, located on the high plains grasslands
of the Rocky Mountains in New Mexico—USA!
We use no growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids,
or animal by-products. For all the details, please see our Web page:
"What We Do –
What We Don't Do"
We personally attest to both the care of the
cattle and the preparation of the product. We transport the cattle
to a small, USDA inspected processing plant. Our custom, all-beef
sausage products are prepared with natural seasonings at a small,
family owned shop, which is also USDA inspected. We are also at
the Taos County Farmers Market every other Saturday.
Why Longhorns? In the "Old West,"
around 1865, cowboys were fighting the Civil War. The American Longhorns
had to fend for themselves on the open range and "survival
of the fittest" was nature's way. They became naturally hardy
and lean. They are the same today, and the beef is tender and delicious.

spahn & friends Bison Ranch LLC,
sells grass-fed, all-natural buffalo meat.
We have raised bison since 1998 on Trinchera
Pass, NM. We handle them as little as possible, and guarantee
they are not
subject to questionable drugs,
chemicals or hormones. For numerous customers with various
diseases bison is the only choice for (red) meat. Bison meat is
heart-healthy and
recommended to patients (see “The Dakota Diet” written
by Dr. K. Weiland, and the American Heart Association).
It’s the best diet for athletes (high in protein),
women (lots of iron), kids and seniors (essential fatty acids,
low fat).
Bison meat tastes great. Bison is naturally
juicy and tender and can be interchanged with beef in almost any
recipe. A lower temperature should be used as bison is very lean
and will cook more quickly. It has nutritional advantages over
other meats—you get more protein with fewer
calories and less fat. There is less shrinking in your pan
because of no marbling fat.
We process our bison at a USDA
inspected facility. After 10-14 days hanging the carcass is cut
in custom packages
and frozen. We sell the meat mostly by the pound, but also sell
quarters, halves and whole carcasses. Customers can
pick up their meat at the ranch or get free delivery to Trinidad
and Raton. We ship interstate for an additional fee. In July/August
we sell at the Farmers' Market in Trinidad, CO.
We always hand out cooking tips and recipes to our customers.
